eduroam stands of EDUcation ROAMing. It allows UC users to not only use the eduroam network on the UC campus but they are also able to login to the eduroam wireless network at other eduroam participating institutions using their UC usercode and password. It also allows users from other eduroam participating academic institutions secure wireless Internet access at UC using the user’s own authentication credentials from their home institution.
The use of eduroam is governed by the Australasian Eduroam Policy and the University of Canterbury Computer Use policy. For visitors to the University of Canterbury the Acceptable Use Policy of your home institution also applies. The eduroam network is not content filtered and access by staff or students under 18 requires parental consent. Authentication information and traffic is recorded by ICTS and your home
organisation in case of network abuse and for statistical purposes.

Use the following link to automatically configure your wireless client to connect to the UC eduroam wireless network. The XpressConnect Configuration wizard supports Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, Ubuntu: 9.04+, Mac OS-X 10.4+, iPhone/iPad OS 2.x+. It does not currently support Android, Windows Mobile or Windows Phone.
If you have any trouble with this configuration tool, or have an unsupported operating system (Android, Windows Mobile and Windows Phone devices are notable examples), then you should manually configure using the following parameters.
