Staff, PhD & Masters Thesis Students Email

Email Access

An email account is created for you when your computer account is generated. There is no charge for using email but there is a limit of 20 megabytes to the size of any attachment.

Email addresses are usually in the format (staff) and (PhD & Masters Thesis students) unless there is someone else with the same name as you. You will be informed of your address when you receive your computer account details.

At UC we use the following dedicated email clients: MS Outlook and Entourage. The most commonly used clients for Staff are Microsoft Outlook for PC users and Entourage for Mac users. Outlook 2007 is the only dedicated email client for PhD & Masters Thesis students.

If you are PhD or Masters Thesis student using a UC computer, that does not have Microsoft Office 2007 installed, please contact the ICT Service Desk to arrange installation.

Web Browser based email (off-campus email)

You can access email off-campus using Outlook Web Access through an internet browser. This interface is very similar to MS Outlook and allows you to access your folders, calendar, tasks etc. away from the office.

Just go to from your web browser and login using your computer username and password.

Note: If you have trouble authenticating try entering uocnt\username rather than just your username (uocnt is the domain you are logging into).
