Configuring Outlook 2007 for Exchange

Important Note: These settings are for on-campus use only. You need to be behind our firewall. i.e., connected to our network via LAN or VPN. This configuration will not work off-campus. We recommend using Microsoft Exchange Online for accessing your email off-campus.

1. Open the Control Panel, and click on User Accounts and Family Safety. (For Windows XP
, open the Control Panel and click on Mail)

2. Click on Mail (32-bit)

3. Click on Email Accounts

4. Click on New

5. Tick the Manually configure server settings or additional server types button, then click Next

6. In the Microsoft Exchange Server box, type in Enter your username in the Username box. Click on Check Name. You will be asked to authenticate:

uocnt\username, e.g. "uocnt\abc123" - followed by your usual password.

Click Next.

7. Click OK.

You should now be able to access your UC email via Outlook 2007.
