How do I set up a Dial-in connection to the University?

Solution: Follow the instructions provided for you here. If you have any problems with those instructions, please contact the ICT Service Desk.


How do I access My documents off-campus?

Solution: Access is provided through FTP using Windows Internet Explorer or Apple Safari web browsers

Follow the Apple Safari self help instructions if you have a Mac computer at home

Follow the Internet Explorer self help instructions if you have a PC computer at home.


How do I change my password?

Solution: Use the Change Password feature on the My Account page. ICT Services recommends that you change your password on a regular basis to ensure your security. You are liable for any charge accumulated against your computer account.


I cannot open Mozilla on the University email servers under my student user name.

Solution: You need to reset your email preferences.
Please do the following.

  1. Log out of your computer
  2. Log on onto your computer
  3. Double click Blue "Help" Folder on the Desktop
  4. Double click Reset Thunderbird Preferences
  5. Restart Mail in the normal way.

If this fails, please come to the Loft or the ICT Service Desk to fix this problem.
